Henry Otto Most

1938 - 2023

Henry Otto Most, 85 of Pittsfield, MA, passed away November 17, 2023 at Albany Medical Center.

He was born in Pittsfield on April 19, 1938 to Henry and Gertrude Ley Most.

Henry attended Pittsfield High School. He married the former Patricia R. Myers on August 18, 1956 at St. Mary's Church.

Mr. Most was a locksmith for over 25 years, having owned J&J Lock. At one time he also had worked for McDonnell Douglas, building airplanes and ran a home repair business in California.

Henry and his wife were foster parents in Lakewood, California and helped 32 children. He was a VAW Union worker and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and plumbing.

Mr. Most is survived by his wife, Patricia Most of Pittsfield; His children, Todd J. Most and wife Katie of Pittsfield, Connie S. Most of Lanesborough. He also leaves his grandchildren, Alexandria Most, Steven Most, Ashley Most Kenia and James Most. As well as many great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son, Bill A. Most; daughter, Lori G. Pettit; siblings, Kenney, Erwin, and Edwin Faucett and Gloria Most Suess.

Graveside services will be held in the spring in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Hinsdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to CATA in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
