Davitt Council, Knights of Columbus, was Chairman of the Parish Finance Committee and a member of the Parish Council. His leadership and commitment to building the St. Ann's Parish Family Center will be long remembered by the people of St. Ann's. He also was a member of Waconah Country Club of Dalton for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine "Kay" Cunningham Cacciola whom he married in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany; two sons, Joseph C. Cacciola and wife Elizabeth of Wrentham, Mass., and Robert V. Cacciola and wife Elaine of Georgetown, Mass.; his daughter, Karen C. Letteri and husband Joseph of Ashland, Va.; his sister, Anna Izzo, of Mechanicville, N.Y.; sisters-in-law, Joan Tateo and Barbara Cunningham of Albany; his beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Christopher, Jessica and Ryan, and Joe, Jeremy, and Nathan Letteri; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family in the Albany region. He was predeceased by his son, Fr. Anthony Michael Cacciola, O.S.B., of St. Anselm's Abbey, and sister-in-law, Maureen Cunningham.

Aunt Kay, Joey, Karen, Bobby & families...I was thinking today of all the times we spent together as a family. Fond memories of all of us...things werent the same since we lost nanny, michael, eileen and maureen and my own dad...but.. as in all those times we picked up the pieces together of our broken hearts and bonded together in our grief as we will once again do now. Its a painful time for us all right now but our love for each other and those we lost will give us strength to move on...one day at a time. love you, Maria

Dear Kay and Family,
It is so sad to learn of Joe's passing. I have very fond childhood memories of him and your whole family. In those memories he was warm, sincere, and my favorite parent in the Cranwell mix. I send blessings, love and healing at this time of sorrow. I learned too late of Joe's passing to attend his services and would like you all to know how much he meant to me.
Love,

To All The Family of Joe Cacciola,
Of all of the decisions I made as Pastor of St. Ann Parish in Lenox, MA. The asking of Joe Cacciola to lead the Finance Committee of our Parish was one of the best that I made. Once Joe accepted this role, he never wavered from any task that confronted him. Sometimes he would make me feel guilty with all the things put on his plate even before his own or his families needs. If there ever was a "Mr. St. Ann", Joe would be that person. I know that the loss of his son Fr.Anthony, was a terrible loss for Joe & Kay, but with heavy & sad hearts and great Faith, they were able to carry on. Joe's love for his Parish came to the forefront once again and he continued to carry out his work of guiding his
Pastor Fr. CJ and the Parish Council to accomplish all the wonderful work continuing to make St. Ann the finest Church in the Berkshires. His next goal was to make the Cemetery viable and beautiful (and now he rests in peace within it's confines) and the beautiful property that Marcel Roux cares for with love & devotion. I know that Joe's last days were so difficult for Joe, Kay and each one of his family (even the red-headed Irish looking ones), that because of their deep Faith and love for Joe, and knowing that he would never be the vibrant Joe that they all knew, they placed him in the hands of the Good Shepherd, where Joe now rests in peace. Kay and all of Joe's family, you & St.Ann Parish have another Saint to watch over you with the same guidance & love he always showered on you on his earthly journey. Joe, Rest in Peace and take care of us all.

God Bless,

Dear Aunt Kay, Karen, Bobby, and Joe.

Soon after meeting Eileen I discovered that Uncle Joe was one of the special heroes of her life; it didn't take long for him to become one of mine.

I could always count on being given his trademark embrace – first in greeting and then in farewell. I would like to hope he still has all of us in that heartfelt and supportive embrace.

To all of you and your families, Meghan and I offer you our love and support.

With affection and shared sorrow,

Rick and Meghan

Kay, Anna and entire family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. 'Uncle' Joe was a great man. I feel truly blessed that I got to spend time with him a few weeks ago at my mom's house. He told me many stories of growing up, of great grandma & great grandpa, the grape vine and the 'wine cellar'. It's a time I will cherish.
Bless you all. Kelly Williams Pierce

I am deeply saddened by the passing of my moms cousin , Joe. Joe and Kay made the trip from Mass to attendmy mom, Mary Ann's funeral just one month prior. Was on the Parish Council with Joe and worked with him on the Summer Festival at St. Ann. Am so shocked and saddened as so many will be. He had such a deep founded love for his faith and devotion to St. Ann. His insight, guidance, humor and strength guided all of us who worked with him. Few words could adequately desctibe the loss we all feel. May God's love and presence and the strength of St. Ann community be with you now and always.
