Joyce DeFino Obituary

Joyce M. DeFino 1955 - 2008 PITTSFIELD Joyce M. DeFino, 53, of 41 Bay State Road, Pittsfield, died Thursday, Dec. 18, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield, Oct. 5, 1955, daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth A. Pecor DeFino, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Miss DeFino was a homemaker. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She loved her family and music. Miss DeFino leaves her companion of 35 years, Theodore W. Sayers, with whom she resided; a brother, William E. DeFino of Pittsfield; three sisters, Patricia Alverez of Richmond, Vt., Ilda Whalen of High Gate, Vt., and Mary Hebert of Manchester, Conn., and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her twin sister, Barbara J. Lefebvre. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Joyce M. DeFino, who died Thursday, Dec. 18, will be Monday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Miss DeFino may be made to the American Lung Association in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
