Kenneth Mahler Obituary
Ken was born in Waterbury, CT on December 6, 1932, son of Philip and Rose (Holzer) Mahler. He graduated from Crosby High School in Waterbury, CT and the Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania.
Ken was the owner and operator of Mahler Financial Services, Inc. and BSM Properties for several decades until his retirement. Ken was a member and former President of Temple Anshe Amunim in Pittsfield, MA and former President of the Falls Country Club in Lake Worth, FL. Ken was also a member of the Pittsfield Country Club and Boca West Country Club.
Ken was an avid golfer, tennis player and runner. Ken couldn't sit still. After a run, round of golf, or tennis match, he would find himself taking his kayak with buddies to go to The Stockbridge Bowl, taking a ride on his road bike, or reading a novel.
Ken loved to share his time with family and friends. He found great joy playing a round of golf or fishing with his kids and grandkids, or just enjoying a home cooked meal with family.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Barbara (Saunders) Mahler. In addition to his devoted wife, Ken leaves behind his son Keith (Jane) Mahler of Waterbury, CT; his daughter Lisa (Arthur) Ajzenman of Hollis Hills, NY; and his son Philip (Danielle) Mahler of Watertown, CT. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Brad & Seth Mahler, Matthew (Jesica) & Sara Ajzenman, Ben, Jake & Sydney Mahler. Ken also leaves behind one great grandchild, Ava Rose Arce Ajzenman. Ken also leaves behind a devoted sister and brother-in-law, Lynn & Kiou Jalayer of Del Ray Beach, Florida.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Ken will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Farband Cemetery, Route 109, Morris, CT. The Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 is in charge of the arrangements. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice by the Sea, trustbridge.com or FIDF(Friends of the Israel Defense Forces), fidf.org.
