Lawrence Elliott Stannard, 90 of Great Barrington died Saturday October 25, 2025 at Fairview Commons in Great Barrington. Elliott was born in Westfield MA on November 3, 1934 son of Lawrence and Valerie (Dempsey) Stannard. He was a graduate of the former Searles High School class of 1952. He then graduated from Berkshire Business College. After graduating he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Elliott worked as an accountant payroll manager for the Rising-Fox River Paper Co., retiring in 1994. He also drove cars for Pete's Motors and was a custodian for Southern Berkshire Janitorial Service assigned to the Norman Rockwell Museum. Elliott enjoyed reading, golfing, bowling, cycling and the company of his many dogs and cats he loved throughout his life. He spent many summers enjoying Cape Cod and the beautiful National Sea Shore with his family. Elliott is survived by his wife of 65 years Anne L. (Stehlin) Stannard, his son Mark of Fairview TN, his daughter Cheryl Cardillo and husband Timothy of Housatonic and his five grandchildren, Victoria, Brittney, Brandon, Ryan and Jason.
