Leah Lewis Obituary

Leah May (Travers) (Bordeau) Lewis, age 77, of Franklin, TN, passed away at home on June 5, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family.

Leah was born in Pittsfield, MA, on June 8, 1945, the daughter of the late George and Leah Davenport Travers. Leah attended Pittsfield public schools. She was married to David Russell Lewis on July 27, 1974, in Manassas, VA. She was involved in an Art League and enjoyed painting artwork for public display and family. She took great pleasure in creating a loving home environment for her family. Attending night school, she received her Associate in Applied Science degree from NOVA in Human Services, specializing in drugs and alcohol. Leah volunteered with many organizations, especially those involved in helping others with their addictions.

Leah is survived by her husband, David R. Lewis, her daughter, Leah Bordeau, her son, Nelson Bordeau, her daughter-in-law, Sandy Bordeau, her two grandsons, Brock and Brayden Bordeau, and her sister, Carol Travers Hoyda. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her two brothers, George J. Travers, Jr., and Michael L. Travers, Sr., and her nephew, Michael L. Travers, Jr.

A memorial celebrating Leah's life will be held at a later date.
