Louis Lepage Obituary

NEW LEBANON, N.Y. -- Louis David Lepage, 84, of 76 Dermody Road, died Thursday evening at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in St. Charles, Quebec, on April 9, 1918, son of Louis and Anna LaMountain Lepage, he attended schools in Canada.

He was a farmer at the Fair Weather Farm for 30 years, retiring in 1996.

He enjoyed gardening, horseshoes and dancing. He was also a practical joker and had a keen sense of humor.

His wife, the former Virginia J. Reynolds, whom he married Sept. 12, 1946, died June 3, 1992.

He leaves three sons, Wayne A. Lepage, John D. Lepage and Rodney L. Lepage, all of New Lebanon; a daughter, Nora L. Lepage of New Lebanon; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Wanda V. Daury, died May 4, 1991.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Louis David Lepage, who died Thursday, March 27, is also survived by his daughters-in-law, Ellen Lepage and Michelle Lepage; his grandsons, John Lepage Jr., Chad Lepage, Wade Lepage, Garry Daury Jr. and Wayne Daury; his granddaughters, Melinda Lepage, Tonya Lepage, Janel Lepage, Danielle Lepage and Amanda Lepage; and his close family friends, De and Adam Squires and Michael Hayes. Funeral services for Mr. Lepage will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at 1 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Bonita Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Cemetery of the Evergreens in New Lebanon. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Eddy Visiting Nurse Association of Catskill, N.Y., in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
