Madeline Bean Obituary

Madeline Jean Bean, 81, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on April 8, 1944, in Pittsfield, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Stackpole) Patterson.

Madeline was predeceased by her devoted husband, Warren Bean, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. She is survived by her four children: Tracy DiGrigoli and her husband Jim of Becket; Warren M. Bean and his wife Lori (Broderick) Bean of Dalton; Lewis Bean and his wife Karri of Acton, California; and Duke Bean of Jamaica, Vermont. She was a proud and loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 8 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Madeline worked many different jobs throughout her life, but nothing meant more to her than her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her heart and her greatest accomplishment. She had a gentle, giving spirit and was always ready to help anyone in need, offering kindness, comfort, and love without hesitation.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and crafting. Her warmth, laughter, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Madeline's love will live on in the hearts of her family, and her memory will be treasured always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral Notice: No services are planned at this time. Burial will be private. The family will announce a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Dery Funeral Home.
