Michael H. Daniels

1955 - 2023

Mr. Michael H. Daniels, 67, of Cummington, died on Thursday, March 16, 2023. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on July 8, 1955, a son of the late William and Edna (Richardson) Daniels. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School. Michael worked for many years as a custodian for the Central Berkshire Regional School District, until his retirement as Head Custodian at Wahconah High School. He was a member of the Worthington Congregation Church. He was also a member of the Cummington Historical Commission and a former member of the GEAA Golf Course in Pittsfield. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Margaret L. Daniels (Emerson), whom he married on September 15, 1979; three children, Emily Daniels and her husband James of Kanata, Canada; Eric Daniels and his companion Jacqueline Buttolph of Burlington, VT; and Elizabeth Grover and her husband Alden of Cheshire; his brother Steven Daniels and his wife Diane of Clermont, FL; two sisters, Linda Giroux of Adams and Susan McGrath and her husband Thomas of Savoy; three grandchildren, Mae and Rose DeMond-Daniels and Marnie Grover as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Richard Giroux. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the spring in the Worthington Congregational Church.
