Michael Quinn Obituary
He was the youngest of six children, the son of Lillian J. Quinn, and the late John (Jack) Quinn, Sr.
Michael grew up in Morningside and he attended Saint Mary's school Saint Joseph Central High School where he played football & basketball. He attended Westfield State College where he played varsity football as their tight end. Michael truly enjoyed refereeing basketball games at the Boys and Girls Club of Pittsfield.
He was an active member of the Carpenters Union of New England. He lived in Brookline, Massachusetts, enjoying his self-owned livery service, where he had the honor of driving many famous people, including his friend Yankees owner, Mr. George Steinbrenner. Michael also worked diligently on the Big Dig in Boston, and currently as a self-employed contractor. Anyone who knew Michael knew that he had the biggest heart and loved his family & friends dearly.
Michael leaves behind his siblings, his sisters, Kathleen Quinn, Colleen Quinn, Tammy Quinn & Sheila Quinn Niedeck (Tod) and his big brother, John Jack Quinn, Jr., (Cathy). The loves of his life: Daniel (Gisela) & Timothy Kearns (Allison), Caitlin Quinn, Demsey Quinn (Julia) Brodie Quinn (Ellie), Adam Twiss (Chantal) John Twiss, Bom Bee Lahart, Linden & Leigh Niedeck. His great nieces and nephews, Paige (Anthony), Quinn, Kydd & Zachary Kearns, Scarlett, Elijah and Cora Twiss, Reidy & Rory Quinn. Last, but not least precious little Hartford Quinn Lizotte.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, FRIDAY, December 22, 2023 at 9 a.m. at St. Josephs Church, celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael Shershanovich, Pastor. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Boys and Girls Club of Pittsfield, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
