Vicki, I just heard today about Paul. Indeed, it is a loss for all of us. I will cherish his wisdom, his delightful sense of humor, his creativity, his gentleness, his kindness. Wells was indeed rich with his talents on board. "Plop plop, fizz fizz."

Loved the serendipity of bumping into the two of you in Harry's Bar in Venice and then a week later finding we were both staying at the Villa d'este, lake Como. We hadn't seen each other for years and now on separate vacations we couldn't shake loose of each other.

What a glorious, complementary couple you made. His spirit lives on in you...and his children. Thanks be. Love and peace. Always.

I was in Paul's study group for over 11 years. I value everything he taught me, especially learning to open my heart and experince more love in my life. Although I moved from Great Barrington 10 years ago we stayed connected and he continued to shre his wisdom. At a whole other level he will continue to guide me. He will be missed for his sense of humor and magic tricks. I love you Paul - forever. Betty Stevenson

I had a ticket to the NY Festival event Julianna was scheduled to participate in on Oct 11th. When I read the email from the event coordinators on Tuesday the 7th saying she had to cancel for a personal emergency, my heart broke. I knew, inexplicably, that something bad had happened to one of her parents, so it was, sadly, confirmation when the announcement was made online later that week.

I just wanted his wife and the rest of the family to know, if any of them check these postings, that I prayed for each and every one of them individually and collectively in the time leading up to the funeral on Friday, October 10, 2014. I will continue to pray, as I did then, for divine love, grace, comfort, peace, clarity, and wisdom to surround them as they transition into this new reality and adjust to his (physical at least) absence from their family.

With blessings, respect, and sympathy for your great loss...

Paul was one of my first bosses in advertising, and certainly one of the most influential. He taught me how to grab just the right words to get the point across; how to just be true to the idea. "Don't go for great- just be straight." Think about that- "plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is" "The Chase Is On" "The City Never Sleeps" All straight. And all great. What an amazing teacher.

I have just learned of this from a Facebook post by Rachel thanking all for their expressions of sympathy. I am in shock even though I have not seen Paul for at least 25 years. I knew him professionally, but, more importantly, I cherish my anthroposophy studies with him years ago when my sister died…..I remember well the three young girls in the apartment and Vicki making brown rice and delicious beans and vegetables. We have all lost a gentle spirit and creative soul too soon and I extend my deepest sympathies to Vicki, the girls and Paul's family and friends.

Vicki - I was there when you first met Paul - in Acapulco - on that crazy Braniff shoot at Las Brisas. I was probably the first who knew how gaga you were over Paul. Caught you two canoodling one starry night in the garden. This is Peter Israelson. Remember me? So sorry about your loss. A great guy and a Dartmouth grad. I went to Dartmouth too. BTW, ever since Bert died last year, I've wanted to reconnect with you of all people but just didn't know how. I thought for sure there would at least be a memorial service for Bert, but he just totally disappeared off the radar. So weird. Am a TV director myself now and have been forever. Please call me and let's catch up. So much to talk about. Please call me at 646 644 2004. If not, I hope you are holding up. I have lots of good memories. Fondly, Peter Israelson
