Philip Pugliese Obituary

Colonel Philip J. Pugliese 95 or North Bennington passed away November 6 following a long illness.

Born on Scott St in Bennington he joined the Army Air Core serving in WW II Korea and Viet Nam. Once in Korea he over ran a .30 caliber machine gunnest, single handed armed with a 6 shot .45 A.C.P. He was awarded numerous medals. He became a hero when our nation needed heroes.

Upon his retirement he served as director of employment and man power in Montpelier. He wrote articles for the times Argus and Bennington Banner, also serving as President of the Retired Officers Association.

He leaves behind two sisters, Shirley and Mary, also three children Philip, Patricia, and Michael.
