Rita M. Duginski 1918 - 2008 PITTSFIELD Rita Mary Duginski, 90, of 379 East St., died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility. Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 27, 1918, daughter of Leo P. and Margaret Novak Bressette, she attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School. She was a Communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Mrs. Duginski was last employed at the former Eaton Paper Company for 15 years, retiring in 1980. Her husband, Philip J. Duginski, whom she married Nov. 8, 1952 in Pittsfield, died July 12, 1963. She leaves a daughter, Maryann Bassett and her husband, Robert, of Pittsfield; her son, William C. Baumgartner and his wife, Marge, of Dalton; two sisters, June Salvadori and Beverly Ellsworth, both of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren, Michael and Max Baumgartner, Brenda O'Brien, Brent and Mark Baumgartner, Lisa Harvey and Philip Litano; 13 great -grandchildren, four great-great -grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph Bressette, Charles M. and William J. Howard, and by her longtime companion, Joseph Furcinite Sr. who died Jan. 24, 2001. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rita Mary Duginski will be celebrated Saturday, May 31, at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, May 31, at 8:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Services of Western Mass. or the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
