Rita B. Giglio

NORTH ADAMS -- Rita Bernadette Giglio, 86, of 74 Furnace St. died Tuesday at Williamstown Commons.

Born in North Adams on June 20, 1920, daughter of Joseph and Mary DeMarco Giglio, she was a 1938 graduate of Drury High School and a graduate of the former Bliss Business College.

Miss Giglio worked for the former Arnold Print Works plant in Adams for 43 years, retiring in 1983. Before that, she worked at the company's North Adams plant for about two years. She was first employed by the late attorney Valmore E. Cote.

She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and a member of the Italian Catholic Girls' Club.

She leaves nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rita B. Giglio, who died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 8, at 10:30 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL, will be Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. Donations may be made to the St. Anthony Building Fund in care of the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA. She leaves nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
