Robert Elliott Obituary

PITTSFIELD -- Robert B. Elliott, 58, of 65 Columbus Ave. died Monday at Hillcrest Commons, where he had resided for a brief time.

Born in Niskayuna, N.Y., on June 3, 1945, son of Alexander and Winifred Campbell Elliott, he attended Rotterdam Junction and Burnt Hills (N.Y.) schools. His family moved to Pittsfield in 1960 and he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1964. He also graduated in 1987 from Berkshire Community College with an associate's degree in science.

An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he served from 1965 to 1968 and attained the rank of sergeant.

Mr. Elliott was employed as a tractor-trailer driver for Hartford (Conn.) Dispatch Co. for two years. He last worked for several years as a deliveryman for White Star Confectionery Co. until 1988.

He leaves two sisters, Kathryn Munson of Afton, Tenn., and Barbara Stoll of Prescott, Ariz., and a brother, Scott Elliott of Eastham.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside committal services for Robert B. Elliott, who died Jan. 19, 2004, will take place Friday, Jan. 23, at 1:30 in St. Joseph's Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, officiating. Mr. Elliott also leaves several nieces, nephews, a grandniece and a grandnephew. At his request, there will be no calling hours. FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., is in charge of arrangements.
