Shirley Shea Obituary

Shirley Ann (Rice) Shea, 74, formerly of 93 Clevland Ave., North Adams, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at the Williamstown Commons, where she had been a resident for the past three years.
Born in North Adams on June 21, 1930, she was the daughter of Howard E. and Dorotha A. (Tyrell) Rice. She attended schools in North Adams and received her high school diploma from Charles H. McCann High School.
Over the years, she was employed at several drug stores in the area, including the former Reichlin Drug Store and the Dox Drug Store. She also was employed at the Sears Store on Main Street, North Adams, and at the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co., North Adams, before moving to Kingstown, R.I., where she resided for many years with her family. She moved back to Berkshire County in 1992.
She leaves her husband of 33 years, Paul L. Shea, whom she married April 19, 1972, in Williamstown; three daughters, Kathy Wilson of Warwick, R.I., Mary Dornberger of Tacoma, Wash., and Maryellen Madison of East Greenwich, R.I.; four sons, Thomas O’Brien of Adams, Joseph O’Brien of Newport, R.I., David Shea of Deltona, Fla., and Shawn O’Brien of Portland, Maine; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Phyllis Harris of Arizona.
A daughter, Laurie McNiff, died in February 1988.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Shirley Shea will be celebrated Saturday, May 7, 6 p.m., at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 W. Main St., North Adams, with the Rev. Mr. Robert Moulton, deacon of the Parish of Notre Dame, St. Thomas and St. Stanislaus, Adams, officiating.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
