Stephen Forward Obituary
Born in Pittsfield, MA on February 4, 1977, he was the son of Carole E. Bellinger Forward and the late John O. Forward, Jr.
Stephen attended Central Berkshire schools and was a graduate of Wahconah Regional High School.
He was a proud loving father and brother. He was a past member of the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department and past and present member of the Hinsdale Muster Team.
Stephen worked for 15 years in Building and Grounds at Jiminy Peak.
He loved his N.Y. Islanders, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Twins, Denver Broncos and NASCAR racing.
Steve was a very talented artist in designing all the items that were sold during the Hinsdale Bicentennial and all posters for the Hinsdale Fire Department. He also designed for other organizations and dirt track race cars. His love for art started when he was in elementary school, when he would draw race cars and his teacher printed a coloring book of them for the class. His four sons inherited his love for sports, racecars, computers and art.
Stephen leaves behind his four sons, Elijah, Cameron, Xander and Jacoby Forward all of Hinsdale. Loving partner, Gail Botto and family; as well as two brothers, John and William, known as Todd, and his mother, Carole E. Forward of Hinsdale.
He is also survived by his aunt, Diana Martin and niece, Stephanie Sayers, nephews, Brandon and Zachary Forward, and many cousins. As well as Vikki and Brian Fairbank and Tracy and Keith Simmons. He was predeceased by his father John and his grandparents.
Funeral Notice: Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dery-Foley Funeral Home in Dalton.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Hinsdale Firemen's Association in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
