Susan Murphy Obituary
1947 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS Ms. Susan Marie Garvie Murphy, 66, of 140 Crest St., died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at North Adams Commons. She was born in North Adams, on May 9, 1947, daughter of James and Yvonne Martelle Garvie. She attended local schools. Susan was last employed by Carol Cable Co. Susan loved animals, enjoyed gardening, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Michael LaValley; four daughters Bonnie Callanan of Bennington, Vt., Brenda Murphy of North Adams, Debbie Deeley of Lee, and Pennie Bopp of Clarksburg; eight grandchildren, Rebecca, Owen, Stephen, Michael, Amanda, Jodie Sue, Jacinda, and Josephine; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Andrews of North Adams, and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister, Joan Mason, and two brothers, Arthur and Wayne Garvie. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Susan Murphy are private. Burial will be in Southview cemetery. I just want to offer my sincere condolences to all her girls and their families. having being neighbors all those years ago on Taft Street we became friends. I always enjoyed that friendship back then and after we moved away you and your mom would often come into my thoughts. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and of your loss. please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. we hope you will find comfort in the memories you will always have of good times you shared.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. As we had a few laughs at Sweetbrook with Sue and my mom, they are now both having a laugh in heaven.
