Susan M. Traub

1942 - 2025

Mrs. Susan M. Traub, 83, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 27, 2025. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on April 1, 1942, the daughter of Former Massachusetts Legislator and US Diplomat to the US Virgin Islands Arthur Milne and his wife, Sylvia Renwal Milne, she spent her teen years growing up in St. Thomas, USVI before returning to Massachusetts and graduating from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1960 and later attending classes at UMASS.

Susan began her career writing commercials for WBEC radio in Pittsfield, then moving to S&A Supply working in sales and kitchen/bath design. Susan then went into outside sales at Pella Windows. She was later the proud franchise owner of CruiseOne, from which she retired in 2013, after 20 years of dedicated service.

Among many things, she enjoyed traveling and reading. She loved Wahconah Country Club, and playing golf with her friends, and was a member for many years.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband, Peter H. Traub, with whom, on August 16, she celebrated her 17th wedding anniversary. She leaves behind her daughter Kelly Thompson Campbell, her son Anthony DeBlasiis as well as her son in law James A. Campbell Jr., two grandchildren, James A. Campbell III and Megan H. Campbell, and her Great-Grandson Jack C. Campbell all of whom she adored. Susan is also survived by her sister, Linda Mateodo, and many dear friends she thought of as family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Judith Ross-Houghtaling.
