Thomas M. Gentzler 1955 - 2012 DALTON Thomas Michael Gentzler, 56, of Dalton died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, July 22, 2012. Born on Sept. 7, 1955, in York, Pa., son of the late Russell E. Gentzler and Carla J. Poff Gentzle, he attended schools in York, Pa., and was a graduate of West York High School in 1974. Mr. Gentzler was employed by MASS DOT, and provided 28 years of outstanding service. He also owned a successful landscaping business. Tom enjoyed golfing, baseball games at Wahconah Park, family gatherings, and riding his Harley. He is survived by his wife, the former Lori Hood, whom he married March 7, 1980; his beloved daughters, Marissa and Chip Washburn of Dalton and Stephanie and Brian Pickard of Pittsfield; his sisters, Brenda L. Snyder, of York, Pa., Kimberly A. Gentzler, of York, Pa; his brothers and their spouses, Ronald and Linda Gentzler of York, Pa., and Randy and Karen Gentzler of Hellam, Pa; also two nieces, Lauren Rodgers and Jennifer A. Snyder of York and a nephew, Terry Gentzler. He is also survived by his six beautiful grandchildren: Jaidyn, Hailey, Lucas, Alexana, Braylen, Vanessa, and his loving dog, Bella. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Thomas M. Gentzler who died July 22, 2012, will be held Thursday July 26, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, MA, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Wednesday at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton, MA from 4-7.
