Thomas Vilot Obituary
1942-2012 ADAMS Mr. Thomas John Vilot, 70, of 20 Hoosac St. Adams, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Pittsfield on July 11, 1942, son of the late Steven and Tekla (Maciopa) Vilot. He graduated from Pittsfield High School, and attended Franklin Institute in Boston for architecture. He had lived in Pittsfield and Lee until moving to Adams several years ago.
A machinist by trade, Mr. Vilot worked for several local machine shops until retiring.
He enjoyed fishing, fly tying and fixing motors and small appliances.
His wife, the former Martha J. Brown, whom he married on Sept. 19, 1969, died on Dec. 31, 1984.
He is survived by a son, David, and a daughter, Heather, both of Louisiana; A sister, Mary Ann Dunlop of Southbridge, Mass.; A brother, Stephen Vilot, of Pittsfield; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa Vilot.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to the Elder Services of Berkshire County Meals on Wheels Program, 66 Wendell Ave. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
