Veronica Wheeler Obituary
Veronica worked as a registered nurse for St. Luke's Hospital and also did private duty. She later worked for Berkshire Medical Center where she retired from after many years of dedicated service.
Among many things, she enjoyed her pets, gardening, bird watching and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Michael and Vicki Wheeler, Kevin Wheeler, Susan Wheeler, Robert and Dawn Wheeler, Patricia Wooliver (Michael), James Wheeler, Sheila Wallace (James), Janet Buffis (Joseph), and Christopher Wheeler. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Ben St. John, Edmond St. John, Charles St. John and her sister Margaret Brown. She was also predeceased by her great grandson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Veronica St. John Wheeler will be Tuesday, July 26th, 2022, with liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Pastor Emeritus of St. Charles Church. There will be no calling hours per request of Ronnie. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires at 877 South St. Suite 1W, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Hello Jim, I had the best time with your mom when we were roommates at Kimball Farms, I have never laughed so much in all my life. My mother feels the same, she loved visiting with you and your mom because of your comedic talent. Who do you take after? I loved the stories she told me. She told me about during the war and how there were no stocking so the women had to buy liquid makeup for their legs and draw a stripe down the back of the legs with an eyebrow pensil so it looked like you had stockings on. Then she said the kids decorated for Christmas and had put a red light bulb in for Christmas over the front door. The neighbor said, Ronnie do you know what that means?
