Walter Krouson Obituary

Walter “Wally” Krouson, 87, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005, in San Diego, Calif.
He was born in Boston, Mass., on Aug. 13, 1917.
He served in the U.S. Army before the start of World War II in 1937, and then again in 1945. After he was discharged, he worked for the Boston Naval Ship Yard as a linotype operator and printer and continued working as a printer for the remainder of his career until his retirement from Massachusetts Envelope Co. in 1982.
After retiring, he spent many happy years building and flying radio-controlled model planes with the Tunnel City R/C Club in Adams, Mass.
Mr. Krouson was a fourth-estate Mason and belonged to the Masonic lodges on Tremont Street in Boston and Church Street in Cheshire, Mass.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious smile. He will be remembered for his warmth and good cheer.
He leaves a son, Walter Krouson of Florida; a daughter, Daria Tansey of California; three grandchildren, and two great-grand children; and two sisters, Sophie DeMaria of Massachusetts and Helen Beaulemont of New Hampshire.
His wife, Elaine Nicola (Carmichael) Krouson, and a grandson, Michael Alden Tansey, are deceased.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Walter Krouson will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 in Oakdale, Conn. His ashes will be interred with those of his wife at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma, Calif.
