Wayne Kittler Obituary

Wayne Michael Kittler, age 75, of Rensselaer, NY and formerly of Cheshire, MA passed away suddenly at home on February 1, 2026.

Born in Adams, MA on April 8, 1950, Wayne was a son of Eleanor Rolland Kittler and the late Emil Robert Kittler. He was educated in the local schools and was a 1968 graduate of Adams Memorial High School. Wayne went on to enlist in the US Air Force during Vietnam where he served as a Combat Cameraman as a part of the 600th Photo Squadron. He was honorably discharged March 15, 1972 with the rank of Sargent.

Wayne was raised on the family farm, Kittler Farm, in Cheshire and embraced the farming life style. He started what was known as Kittler Corn, and folks looked forward to enjoying the corn every summer. Wayne was talented in machinery repair and had a great ability to work with his hands.

He moved to New York in 1989 and worked for Barbor Brothers Dairy Farm there for many years. Most recently he was working at Price Chopper in East Greenbush.

Wayne used the photography skills he learned in the Air Force throughout his whole life. He was always the person behind the camera at any family function and loved to be able to help his family create memories.

Wayne had a dry sense of humor, so much so that you weren't always sure when he was joking. He was a quite person and he loved music. In more recent years, Wayne loved watching his grandson play baseball and always knew Michael's stats.

Wayne is survived by his mother, Eleanor Kittler of Adams, his daughters and their husbands, Wendy and Luke Demoracski of Southborough, MA and Antoinette and Michael Hartman, as well as their son Michael, of Pownal, VT, and his siblings, Karen M. Drain of Cheshire, Alan M. Kittler of Washinton, MA, Stephen M. (Iris) Kittler of Hollywood, FL, Dr. Jason M. Kittler of Pittsfield, and Andrew M. (Renee) Kittler of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves his longtime partner, Caroline Douglas of Rensselaer, NY and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Kevin M. Kittler, his brother-in-law Conrad Drain and his sister-in-law Karen Kittler.

SERVICES: Visitation will be at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Cheshire, MA on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 beginning at 10AM. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will begin at 11AM followed by burial with Military Honors at Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.
