Zofia Blake 1931 - 2008 WILLIAMSTOWN Zofia Blake, 77, of Cape Coral, Fla., a former longtime resident of 76 Bee Hill Road passed away, surrounded by her family, on Monday afternoon, Aug. 11, 2008, at Cape Coral Hospital, where she was admitted on Thursday, July 31. Born in Grady, Poland, on Feb. 10, 1931, a daughter of Wladyslaw and Katarzyna Zajac Niejadlik, she attended schools in Poland. From a previous marriage, she leaves two sons, Edward Ciara of Adams and Ryszard "Richard" Ciara of Cape Coral, with whom she made her home. After she fulfilled her dream of immigrating to America, Zofia married Lewis H. Blake Jr. in Williamstown on July 1, 1961. She also leaves a stepdaughter, Sandra Blake Zepka and her husband, Dennis, of North Adams; four grandchildren, Nathan Ciara of Boston, Matthew Ciara of Adams, Christopher Zepka and his wife, Christine, of Woodbridge, Va., and Colleen Zepka Prior and her husband, Shaun, of Fountain, Colo.; three great-grandchildren, Alexander Zepka of Woodbridge, Va., and Kayla and Michael Prior of Fountain, Colo.; three sisters, Genowefa and Stephanie of Poland, and Alexandra of New York, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis; by a sister, Janina Cerven, and by a brother, Edward Niejadlik. Zofia will be remembered by many, not only for her beautiful gardens in Williamstown and Middletown, Del., but also for her warmth, hard work, generosity, honesty and her faith in God. She attended services at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Joseph's in Delaware before moving to Florida. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
