Lynda Millsap-Boggie Obituary

Lynda Janeen Millsap-Boggie, 54, of Battle Mountain, NV, passed away May 4, 2025. Known for her humor and kindness, she will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Born in Montclair, CA to Mayford and Patricia Millsap, Lynda's early years were spent fishing and camping outdoors. In her childhood, she fostered a love for Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the Prairie, and The Sound of Music. After graduating from Don Lugo High School in Chino, CA, Lynda lived in Hesperia and Big Bear, CA.

In 2007, Lynda began her nursing career and became a licensed vocational nurse in 2011. For her work at Big Bear Valley Hospital, Bear Valley Hospice, and Battle Mountain General Hospital, Lynda will be remembered for her affection for her patients, particularly those who did not have others to advocate and care for them.

Lynda is survived by husband Alan, along with her daughter Lexi Amrhein, son Luke Weber, and her step-children, Arianna and Levi as well as her parents Mayford and Patricia Millsap, her siblings Lori Layman (Randy) and Bryan Millsap (Karri), along with her nieces, nephews, and their children.

With the support of her sponsor, Lynda found sobriety in Big Bear in 2005. For the rest of her life, AA remained a source of comfort and strength, along with Lynda's faith. She went to heaven with 20 years of sobriety.

In the days after Lynda's sudden passing, her family gathered in Battle Mountain, NV to remember her big laugh, quirky jokes, and deep love. Contributions in her honor may be made to DOVES of Big Bear Valley at www.doves4help.org. A small, local service will be held in late June- please contact Lexi for details.
