Randy D. Schuberg, 69, of Rodney, passed away on November 21, 2025. He was born on July 17, 1956, in Big Rapids.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Randy worked as an electrician for many years, beginning with Schuberg Electric, Schuberg and Sons Electric, Shuberg Truss and Poles Setting. Over the years, he also explored many other trades, including setting trusses, pole setting, and even growing hops. Randy was endlessly creative and a true dreamer-once he set his mind to something, there wasn't anything he couldn't do.
He enjoyed tractor shows, steam engines, and canning. Most will remember Randy for his honesty, his willingness to help anyone, and the countless homes he wired for friends and family. He was always in his element when surrounded by people.
He is survived by his sons: Todd (Nicole) Schuberg and David (Brooke) Schuberg; grandchildren: Makenzie, Jaycee, Tyler, Cheyann, Hunter, and Cace; four great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Big Rapids Eagles #2535. Military honors will take place at approximately 2:30 p.m. Arrangements are in the care of Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Homes, Big Rapids.
