Betty Findley Obituary
Betty was born November 20, 1933 to parents Guy R. Simmons and Carrie Ethel (Underwood) Simmons. She married James W. Findley May 11, 1951 in Big Spring and he preceded her in death. Betty worked for many years at Smallwood's Western Wear until retiring in 1985. Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. She had been a faithful member of College Baptist Church since the 1970's and also served on the Decorating Committee.
Betty is survived by her daughter Jamie Roberts (Troy), grandchildren: Candi Whitehead, Ashley Dow, Jennifer Overton, Jenny Nelson, Brian Mims, Matt Mims, Amy Huitt, Stefen Stone, Travis Roberts and Casey Roberts; 26 great grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; son-in-law Ed Eastman; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters Vicki Eastman, Charleta Butrum (Roger), Margaret Darling (Jim), grandson James Darling, her siblings Eva Sue Anderson, Charles Simmons, Randel Simmons, Jerry R. Simmons and Jimmie D. Simmons.
The family suggests donations to College Baptist Church, 1105 Birdwell Lane, Big Spring, TX 79720.
