Elias "Sonny" Ramirez

Elias "Sonny" Ramirez, 74, of Big Spring, died Monday, July 19, 2021. He will lie in state at Myers & Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, July 23, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Myers & Smith Chapel with Pastor Ken McMeans of College Baptist Church officiating. 
Elias was born March 24, 1947, in Big Spring. He was a master plumber and owned his own company. He and Karen, his wife of 31 years, were married in Big Spring. He was a member of the College Baptist Church. 
He loved fishing, hunting, cooking for his family and the outdoors. He made jerky out of his deer. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and his "grand"dogs. He and Karen loved to travel. He sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. 
He is survived by his wife: Karen Ramirez of Big Spring; one daughter: Michelle Williams and her husband Brett of Corpus Christi; two granddaughters: Autumn Van Hall and husband Thomas of San Antonio and Rhiannon Claw of Corpus Christi; and one grandson: Stephen Williams and wife Felicia Anne of Greenville, NC; and  siblings: Albert Ramirez of Fresno, CA, Eva Hernandez of Odessa, Lidia Ramirez of San Antonio, Moses Ramirez of Big Spring, Johnny Ramirez of Big Spring, Pablo Ramirez III of Big Spring and Eunice McKinney of San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Pablo and Juanita Ramirez; and siblings: Romana Rivera of Denver, CO and Dominga Hoerauf of Galway, NY.
