Ruben Aguirre Dominguez, 52, of Big Spring went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 3, 2021. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with the Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Myers and Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Ruben was born August 25, 1968, in Escondido, Calif., to Guadalupe and Servando Dominguez. He grew up in Lamesa and moved to Big Spring in 1985. He worked at K.C. Steakhouse for over 30 years. He was a Catholic.
Cooking was his passion both professionally and for family and friends. He loved playing baseball in High School and playing in the band. He was an avid Chargers fan. He loved landscaping and was known for his green thumb.
Ruben is survived by his wife of 34 years: Rose Dominguez of Big Spring; three children: Rene Dominguez of Big Spring, Rebecca Dominguez and Eddy Acosta of Big Spring, and Valerie Dominguez of Big Spring; one grandson: Maddox Lee Guzman of Big Spring; mother: Guadalupe Dominguez of Lamesa; five brothers: Servando and his wife, Melissa, of Corpus Christi, Raul and his wife, Belinda, of Corpus Christi, Rudy and his wife, Patricia, of Corpus Christi, Juan of Lamesa, and Eric and his wife, Wendy, of Snyder; and two sisters: Melissa of Lamesa, and Cindy and her husband, Andrew, of Lamesa.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother: Ramsey.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Rene Dominguez, Johnny Barraza Jr., Eddy Acosta, Marcos Juarez, Andrew Dominguez, Marc Dominguez and Kaden Vela.
