Everett Amos Obituary
He was born Jan 10, 1950 in Columbus, Mt to William S. & Alice M. (Smith) Amos.
As a boy he attended a one room schoolhouse in Dean, Mt. The family later moved to Big Timber where he attended Knobb Hill School.
He worked on various ranches, was an OTR truck driver and worked construction.
He had a pilots license and owned and flew his own aircraft. He owned many motorcycles & 4-wheelers through the years. He loved traveling the Utah to the Bonneville Salt Flats to partake in the sand drags!!
He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army. He was in the 108th Artillery Battalion at Dong Ha Combat Base in South Vietnam. He was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and youngest brother Lonnie Joe..
He is survived by his daughter Rachelle Zackus of Lewiston, brothers Robert of Shamrock, TX , William & Bernice of Big Timber, Sheldon of Billings, Richard & Tracy of Idaho Falls, ID, Jack & Debrah and Raymond & Leslee all of Whitehall, sisters Edna Zima of Cutlerville, MI and Ida & David of Big Timber.
Graveside services with full military honors will be at 11am Saturday Sept 27, 2025 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Big Timber. A reception will follow at the American Legion.
