PHOENIX - Our wonderful son and brother, Aaron James Corey, was born April 21, 1973, in Bozeman, Mont., to Patrick and Sharrie (Cox) Corey. He passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 23, at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. He was a fine young man who was in the prime of his life and at the top of his game. He was looking forward to the arrival of his first niece.
Aaron grew up in Bozeman and attended Irving Elementary School, Wilson Middle School and graduated from Bozeman Senior High School. He attended Montana State University before graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in chemical engineering. He later earned his MBA. While attending ASU, he worked as a valet at Desert Mountain Golf Course and was privileged to meet many of the touring professionals and made long-lasting friendships. After graduation, he was employed as an environmental engineer at TRW, Earth Tech and Maricopa County. In 2005, he joined the family business, Independent Bankers Insurance Services. He quickly became well known in the banking insurance industry as the agency manager and "go-to guy" for bankers and underwriters alike. He was Vice President of Policy Services at the time of his passing and intended to join his brother, Justin, as co-owners of the business. His clients and co-workers in the industry were impressed with Aaron's remarkable ability, knowledge and professionalism.
Aaron was musically and artistically talented. In his early life, he participated in many sports, including competitive swimming, tennis, basketball and soccer. His favorite activity was golfing, especially with his dad, brother, uncles and best friend Peter. He was a movie buff and a major sports enthusiast. Aaron's infectious laugh, bright smile, quick wit and brilliant mind will never be forgotten. Memories of family vacations to Canyon Ferry, Mexico and the family ranch with cousins will be told for years to come. He was a gentle soul, an immensely devoted friend and instilled great passion into everything he loved. Family, friends, co-workers and his beloved Bulldog, Ripley, will miss Aaron greatly.
Aaron is survived by his grieving parents; his sisters, Kristin and Andrea; his brother Justin and wife Brigitte; grandmother Virginia Cox; uncles, aunts and numerous cousins.
A memorial service and celebration of Aaron's life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at Hansen's Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 East Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. Memorials may be made in Aaron's name at http://www.donatelife.net/HowYouCanHelp/. Aaron's family passionately promotes organ donation. Aaron will be forever loved and never forgotten.

Dear Corey family, my name is Jessica Sanchez and I worked with Aaron back in AZ in the chemical engineering days. I was his supervisor and Mr. Robert Lee was our boss at South Pass/Earth Tech/Motorola/ TRW same gang...please know that I just now heard the very sad news and even though we lost touch when I moved to Singapore back in 2000 I do have very fond memories of Aaron always always making me smile. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you and I am sure that somewhere out there in the Universe he is smiling...Jessica

Dear Corey family,
Please accept our deepest sympathies.
Although we didn't know Aaron long, it was easy to see what a wonderful and caring person he was. Accepting this kind of loss is always hard but especially so for someone who was so young with so much to give. You have a wonderful family and together with your friends you will be able to go on. Your love and memories will be there forever. You are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless all of you.

Aaron was a "one of a kind" special person that does not come along often in your lifetime. He had a good work ethic, and rolled up his sleeve when tackling his projects. Not only was he a great person to know, he had a caring and loving spirit. He will be missed by all of us who knew him at Motorola and Maricopa County.

Pat, Sharrie, Kristin, Andrea and Justin,
It was my pleasure to care for Aaron and to get to know his beautiful family. Your son/brother and your family touched me deeply, please know that you all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Sadly I will not be able to attend the celebration of Aaron's life as it is my weekend to work but know that I will be thinking of you and sending hugs!
Much Love,

To the Family of Aaron Corey:
He will be missed; I worked with Aaron at Maricopa County and found to be genuine, kind and having a giving caring spirit.
His laughter was contagious when I heard him laugh I just had to laugh also.
May you find comfort in knowing earth’s loss is heavens gain? Be good Aaron and tell Bill I said hi.
