Albert M. "Al" Peterson
Albert M. "Al" Peterson, 81, died Dec. 1, 2005, at Horizon Hospice Home in Billings. He was born May 28, 1924, in Miles City, Mont.; the son of Ernest W. and Anna O. (Johnson) Peterson. He graduated from Custer County High School and attended Montana State University, Bozeman.
Al served in the Army in World War II. We was in France, Belgium, and Germany. Al and Donna J. Bryson were married in Billings on May 10, 1957. He built homes and was a construction superintendent for many years.
He is survived by his wife Donna; his twin brother Robert N. (Frances) Peterson of Fort Benton; brother Earl N. (Laurette) Peterson of Fairfield; his sister Marie (Joe) Hafla of Miles City; sister Dorothy (Bill) Cato of Deer Park, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews. Al is also survived by his wife's sister Dorothy (Stan) Waddell of Billings; her sister-in-law Helen Bryson of Billings; and her one nephew and two nieces.
Al is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Donald Peterson, who was killed in World War II, and his sister Ina Browne. He is also preceded in death by his wife's parents; her brother Robert L. Bryson, her niece Leslie Bryson Lackman and her nephew Jimmy Waddell.
There will be a private family funeral service. Memorials are preferred to Horizon Hospice Home, PO Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

Al was our grandfather next door. I was very lucky to grow up with Al in my life and i have nearly 30 years of memories with Al that i will always treasure. I wish we had more time together. he was a truly a kind and wonderful man.
