Annette Linthicum Obituary

POPLAR - Annette Georgianne "Netter" Linthicum, age 23, of Poplar, died May 13, 2007, at a residence in Poplar.
Annette was born in Poplar on June 11, 1983, to Clinton Linthicum, Sr. and Veronica (Old Horn) Linthicum. From the very beginning, she showed her bubbly, loving personality.
Annette grew up and attended school in Poplar. During her school years, she acted in plays and was active in sports and music. She was working at the American Legion Club in Poplar at the time of her death. Her lifetime dream was to someday be a model/actress/singer.
Annette loved her family and her friends. Her dad and she had a special relationship that helped them through many obstacles in life. She loved to go shopping with her mom and sister, Krystle. She was proud of her brother, Clint, and thought that he was the best athlete in the world. She loved animals, especially dogs. Her dogs, Jake and Hazel, were like part of her family. Her greatest joy in life was doing things with her family and friends. She loved taking care of her younger cousins and loved to volunteer to baby-sit. She was a warm, loving person who cared and was kind and sincere to all.
Her Crow family members are of the "Whistling Water Clan." Many of her ancestors were members of the "Sacred Tobacco Society." Annette was in the process of getting her Indian name that would have been given by one of the Elders of the Crow Family.
Annette left this world to begin her new life on May 13, 2007. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Annette is preceded in death by her grandmother, Irene Linthicum; and great-grandfather, George Thompson; and cousins Landon Park and Chelsey Marchwick.
Annette is survived by her parents, Clinton Linthicum, Sr. of Poplar and Veronica St. Germaine of Great Falls; stepdad, Art St. Germaine, who is stationed at Malmstrom AFB after just returning from duty in Iraq; sister, Krystle of Great Falls; and brother, Clinton Jr. of Poplar; paternal grandfather, William Donald Linthicum of Poplar; maternal grandparents, Claudia Thompson of Poplar and Henry Sarge Old Horn of Crow Agency. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 17, from 3 to 7:30 p.m., followed with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes in Poplar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 18, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes in Poplar. Interment will be at the Poplar City Cemetery.
Condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected] or www.stevensonandsons.com. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.

One of God's Angels

June 19, 2007

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Annette was a person that I always felt warm around. She had a way of making you comfortable & happy without trying. I will miss her dearly & remember her from sitting in sunday mass when we were children to months ago. I only wish I had been able to know her better. She was one of a kind & the world is a little sadder to have lost her...at least she is with God, the only comfort from her loss.
