Bharat Parekh Obituary
An excellent mathematician, BK was first in his class at the University of Bombay before moving to the United States in 1975. He earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Tech, where he fell in love with Shobha, his wife of 44 years.
BK was a devoted father to Nikita, Kayton, and the late Kavita. He found immense joy as grandfather to Anuradha, daughter of Nikita and Joe, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of Kayton and Eleanor's son. His love extended deeply to his siblings and their families, forming a close-knit community that spanned generations and continents.
For the past 44 years, BK made his home in Billings, MT, where he cultivated a wide circle of friends and loved ones. Professionally, he built a distinguished career as a strategy consultant and entrepreneur. He was known not only for his business insight but also for his generosity-sponsoring families and students to pursue new beginnings in the United States.
BK was a seeker of truth and made frequent pilgrimages to India's sacred sites with loved ones. His passions included music, chess, world travel, and, most of all, meaningful time spent with his family.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and generosity.

I was deeply saddened to learn of BK's passing. He was a remarkable man whose intelligence, and devotion to his family were evident to all who knew him. I have so many cherished memories of spending time with your family during our childhood, and I will always remember the kindness he showed me- welcoming me into your home and making me feel like part of the family. May you find comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
