Cami went to be home with the Lord on Oct. 8, 2010. Born on June 30, 1950, in Buffalo, Wyo., to Joni and Terry Mauck. She was very active in AA and was helpful to so many people in so many different ways. Her devotion and support to friends and family were endless. She will be sadly missed, but we all know that she is in heaven and will still touch us all in her own special way. Her husband Joe, whom she has been married to for 25 years, but sadly cannot attend the service, wrote this for her:
Cami loved her friends, her grandchildren and her pets Jabber and Hope very much. She got a great pleasure in helping others. She enjoyed cooking and making special dinners on Sunday evenings. She was the most warm-hearted and kind woman, and a wonderful wife and lifelong friend. I will miss your kind words and your loving, giving heart, and the outlook you had on life. You were my life, my soul mate, and someday, Cami, we will be reunited. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I will miss you deeply.
She is survived by her sister, Patty Mauck, Sidney, Tera Parker, Riverton, Wyo.; brothers Chip Mauck, Billings, Bill Mauck, San Diego; parents Terry and Millie Mauck, La Grande, Ore.; niece who she had raised, Jona Lee Fortner; great-niece Jade Fortner and great-nephew Austin Fortner, Toano, Va.; Betty Bowman, whom she thought of as a mother and loved very much; husband Joe Buckman; special heart friend and sister-in-law Cindy Buckman; and caregiver and special friend, Shannon Pronto and little Savannah, whom she loved.
Her mother Joni preceded her in death.
