Candace Nelson Obituary

Candace Lorraine Nelson, 54, passed away March 1, 2005, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings.

She was born May 26, 1950, in Havre, to Clifford G. and Lucille (Poplar) Thorson. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1968. She moved to Great Falls and attended Beauty School. She moved to Texas and then returned to Montana and lived many years in Joplin, then in Chinook, before moving to Billings.

Candy is survived by her children, Allyson (Larry) Brown, Windy (Dan) Bowman, Travis Nelson and Ryan (Krystie) Nelson, all of Billings; grandchildren, McKenzie, Madison, Mariah Kirsch, Hunter Brown, Avery Bowman and Baustin Nelson; siblings, Nancy (Larry) Olson, Jerry (Gloria) Thorson, both of Joplin; special aunt, Blanche "Tilly" Anderson; special friend Kenneth Nelson; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Candy loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed deeply by her family.

Funeral services will 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at King of Glory Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Mountview Cemetery.
