Colleen Edgerton Obituary

Colleen (Randall) Edgerton

Colleen Randall was born in Whitefish, graduated, and attended Billings Business College. She married Richard Edgerton, also of Whitefish in 1958, She joined him during service time ion Fairbanks, Alaska.

Their children, Dareck, Charis and Nicole reside in Billings with families of children and grandkids. Colleen has had an adventuresome life, as a working mother - Highlands Golf Course, Cut-A-Letter Signs, That's Nice Wedding & Party Shop, and as the Woman of the Year for Billings Business Women, Treasure for St. Steven's Episcopal Church and ever-active participant in Amani For Africa, founded by Rv. John Nauman and Ralph Spence plus Amani For Water. Then came her "retirement'?" As a Marketing Driver for Enterprise Car Rental, she drove roadways of Montana and surrounding states for an additional many years. She especially enjoyed working with fellow driving friends Dick Grimm and Ike Balldry! Colleen and Richard Motorhome wintered short terms in Nevada and Arizona. They thought nothing of thousands-of-miles drives - a habit of trips between Montana when living several years in St. Augustine, Fla. They particularly looked forward to Idaho visits with sister Francis and David Roth. Her younger brother Dale was next in line for equal love! The years passed and time weathered her strength. Recently Colleen became hospitalized at Billings Clinic with a blood infection to her feet. After a week, she transferred from Skyline Rehabilitation for another week's stay.

Colleen returned home with a renewed goal set by herself; 90th Birthday Celebration on December 22nd. She achieved it and celebrated with "51 happy for her relatives and friends. It was a joyous occasion. Unfortunately, her health gave in and she quickly faded. She was taken to bed for days. Her three children and niece cared for her around the clock! Richard rested beside her in the bed as he had done for sixty-nine and one-half years. She passed away on January 2, 2025. Cremation took place, our Family thanks you for condolences! A spring gathering of friends, relatives and very thoughtful neighbors will share her love.
