SPEARFISH, S.D. - Cora Schauman, 93, of Spearfish, formerly of Hardin, Mont., died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, in Spearfish.
She was born April 9, 1910, in Clark, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Huffman. She grew up in North Dakota and received her education in Amidon.
On April 5, 1929, she married Gustav A. Schauman in Baker, Mont., and the couple moved to Hardin in 1956. She worked for the Zeiler Slaughterhouse and Bud's Locker for many years. Mr. Schauman died in 1969. She was a handy person who enjoyed carpentry.
A son, Jim; and a daughter, Mavis, preceded Cora in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Audrey (Merlyn) Schaefer of Spearfish and Jacquebeth (Pat) Logan of Dickinson, N.D.; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hardin Fairview Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
