Jan Janel Barndt
Jan Janel Barndt, 69, of Billings joined her Lord and Savior in eternity at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021. She was born May 15, 1951 in Poplar Bluffs, MO to William and Alice (Brooks) Henrickson. Jan spent most of her formative years in the Absarokee/Columbus MT area where she met the love of her life, Ronald 'Ron' Barndt. They were married Dec. 27, 1969 and built their lives together within the Columbus community for 46 years.
Many days, Jan would be found substituting within the Columbus school system. Jan's adoration for her students lead to lively stories during family time.
If Jan was not spending time making crafts with her kids or grandkids, she would be found gardening, creating floral arrangements, crafting, restoring unwanted items to beauty, and renovating houses into homes with her husband Ron. Some favorite memories are those we treasure of Jan sharing her passions with her children and grandchildren. Jan lived her life in J.O.Y. Jesus first always, then reaching out to others in the love of God, and finally you(her)self.
Jan's love for the Lord lead to committed service at her local church in many areas, most recently at Faith Family Church in Billings, MT. Whether working in the kitchen, teaching one of many children's classes, caring for plants, or decorating for various outreaches, Jan's servant-heart impacted the community around her.
Jan is survived by her Husband, Ron, and children Richard (Tracy), Brandon (ReNee), Neal (Laurey), Tessa Rogers (Joel), 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her beloved sister Juanita, and extended family that enriched her life.
The Celebration of Life service will be Friday Feb. 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. Faith Family Church, 3608 Custer Ave Billings, MT 59102. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. in Columbus, MT.
