It was 30 below in Bismarck, N.D., on Jan. 19, 1978 when Jeremy Ryan Rossow was born. He was the third son of Larry and Kay Rossow. He died much too soon on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the age of 41.
Jeremy was three when the family moved to Billings in 1981. He attended school at Independent, Castle Rock, and Skyview (including two years at the career center).
He was never afraid of work and studied to be an electrician sponsored by the IBEW. He was meticulous in his profession as a Journeyman Electrician and a loyal union member.
Jeremy found peace in the great outdoors where he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Often out there by himself he was never alone. It was there that he said he was close to God.
He married Danielle Koppinger in Sept. of 2008. Their family included their dog Reese. They later divorced in 2017 and he acquired a rescue dog he named Angel. He said they were like 'two peas in a pod'. She has found a new loving home and will continue to be somebody's Angel.
Fighting depression and anxiety most of his life, he turned to alcohol for relief. In the downward spiral of addictions, it all became more than he could live with and be the person he wanted and worked so hard to be. We will forever love and miss our dear, sweet, loving son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Elmer (Bertha) Rossow and Kenneth (Florence) Albertson of Minnesota. He is survived by his parents Larry and Kay; his brothers Erik and Aaron (wife Chrissy); nephew Hank and niece Julia; and many Minnesota uncles, aunts and cousins. His uncle, Robert Rossow and wife Chong live in Seoul, Korea.
Faith, hope and love were ours and the greatest of these was love. We will always 'love you more' Jeremy.
Heights Family Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Jeremy's organs were donated prior to cremation.
A service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1301 Ave D in Billings on Saturday June 8, 2019 at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come 'just as you are.'
Donations may be made to Animal Rescue, American Diabetes Association, Peace Lutheran Church, or as you wish. In lieu of flowers would you just look up at God's beautiful sky and say, 'Peace be with you Jeremy.'
