Lila Ann Anderson died peacefully at Eagle Cliff Nursing Home, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 10, 2010. She was 94 years young. Lila always found joy in her journey.

Lila was born on Sept. 19, 1916, the seventh child of Edward and Theresa (Lobe) Schroeder in Bascom, Mont. She married Andrew "Andy" Anderson on Sept. 2, 1942, and resided in Helena for all of her married life. Lila was a beautician and was President of the Montana Hair Dressers Association in 1941. She loved to take care of "her ladies." She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Zonta.

She is survived by her son, Drew; grandson Derek; great-granddaughter Harlow, all of Helena; her sister, Alice Breed of Klamath Falls, Ore.; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Andy; her parents; brothers Ralphie, Harold, Elmer and Gordon; and her sisters, Adela and Louise; as well as her special friend and caregiver, Judy Johns.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Oct. 20, at 1 p.m., at Smith's Downtown Chapel, 925 S. 27th, Billings. Inurnment will take place at a later time.

The family suggests donations be made to the Melstone Swimming Pool Association, PO Box 321, Melstone, MT 59054, in lieu of flowers.

A special thank you from the family to the staff at Eagle Cliff Nursing Home and to John and Donna Hjlevik for all their love and special caring.
