Taa'evena'hane'e (Kills Night Woman)
BUSBY - As the sun was setting and birds were singing on July 21, 2008, Lisa Jo Bear Robe went home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lisa called out to the Lord in her final hours and found the peace she had been searching for.
Lisa was born Oct. 13, 1973, in Crow Agency, to Joseph and Charlotte Bear Robe Sr. She grew up and attended schools in Busby.
Lisa enjoyed reading and visiting with her family and friends. Wherever she needed to go, Lisa always managed to get there. She always had a smile on her face and she was always asking for lemons, her favorite fruit to eat.
Lisa and Emmanuel Littlewhiteman were married and later divorced.
In addition to her parents Joe and Charlotte, Lisa was preceded in death by two younger sisters, Tamara Dawn and Colette Jean; older brother Donovan James; aunts Anna Mae Whitewolf and Alvina Moore; cousins Floyd W. Moore and Alvin Lee Whitewolf; and special grandpa, Frank Grasshopper.
Lisa's survivors include her two children, both of whom she adored and loved with all her heart, Charlotte Nicole and Cactus Wesley; sister Jocelyn; brothers Joe Jr. (Ilene), Dana (Rayette) of Busby and Tom Sr. (Corine) of Billings; Patricia White Dirt, whom she took as her adoptive mom; aunts Effie Bear Chum of Busby, Freida (Rick) Smith of Pryor, Joyce Bear Robe and Agnes Clements, both of Pine Ridge, S.D.; uncle Charles Bear Robe of Colorado; and very special friend, Mickey C. Caywood.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Public Health Nurses Anne Goodluck and Janet Wolfname for all their help, as well as Colleen Whitewolf, Alicia Orozco, April Moore, Lola Haugen, Eloise Snow, Cindy Moore and all those who stopped by and brought food for the family.
Wake services will be held Thursday, July 24, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Busby Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 25, at 1 p.m., at the Busby Pentecostal Church with Robb Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the Busby Cemetery.
