Marion Collier Obituary
MELSTONE - Marion Faye Collier, 72, of Melstone, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2004, at the Mountain Valley Care and Rehab Center in Kellogg, Idaho, surrounded by her family.
Marion was born June 1, 1931, in Forsyth, to Harry and Jeneve (Schelin) Collins, the third child of 12 children.
Marion grew up in Klein with her family. She attended school in Klein and Roundup. She attended and graduated from college at the Kootenai and Salish College of Pablo.
She married Leo Roy Collier on March 1, 1947, in Roundup. To this union came six sons and one daughter.
Marion and Leo raised their family on the Collier Ranch northeast of Melstone. She loved and enjoyed her family, friends, crocheting, knitting and baking.
She was an active member of the Lady of Mercy Catholic Church of Melstone and the St. Ignatius Church of Mission.
Marion moved with Leo and her family to St. Ignatius for 13 years, returning to Melstone in 1994.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leo in August of 2003; and her daughter, Frances Mary Collier.
Marion is survived by her sons, Charles LeRoy (Clarice) of Lewistown, Gerald Lee of Bismarck, N.D., John Wayne of Melstone, Leo LeRoy (Jody) of Polson, Charles Daniel (Kathleen) of Portland, Ore., Brian John of Portland; seven sisters, Bernadine Lovell of St. Ignatius, LaVonne Williams of Pasco, Wash., Barbara Totter of Grand Coulee, Wash., Alice Wynne of Phoenix, Cherie Pierce of Post Falls, Idaho, Maxine Sebastian of Eau Claire, Wis., Rebecca Collins of Wallace, Idaho; four brothers, John Paulson of Laurel, Frederick Collins of Grand Coulee, Keith Collins of Osburn, Idaho, and Michael Collins of Melstone; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be prior to the service at 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, at the Melstone Community Center. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday. Interment to follow at the Collier Ranch Family Cemetery. Wier Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
