DALLAS, Ore. - Michelle Tracy (Bear King) Smith, 42, a resident of Dallas, died at her home Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1967, in Rapid City, S.D., the adopted daughter of Robert Rolland and Betty Jean Thunderbull Taylor. She worked for the Chemawa Health Clinic as a Purchasing Agent, Admissions and Receptionist Clerk for 12 years. She married Larry Delon Smith on Oct. 2, 1993, in Dayton, Ore. Michelle is a member of the Standing Rock Tribe.
She is survived by her husband Larry of Dallas; daughters Tonia and her husband Owen Grover, Rachel and her husband Larry Gibbons; son Matthew Smith; and birth mother Patsy Bear King; along with five grandchildren.
Terry Salinas, a cousin, will receive the cremated the remains in Billings. The Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is handling the arrangements. To leave an online condolence for the family, go to www.dallastribute.com.
