Ruby Ferro Obituary

Ruby Inez Mennes Ferro was born on April 11, 1962 in Atlantic, Iowa, to James and Frances Mennes. She went to join her parents in heaven on Nov. 30, 2010.

She moved towards Montana in early childhood with her parents and sister Arlene. They settled in Hardin. Ruby graduated in 1980 and moved to Billings, where she worked at Western Manner Nursing Home for about 10 years. She married Ervin Suko Jr. and they moved back to Atlantic, Iowa, after the death of her mother. There she cared for her father until his death. She and Ervin were divorced, and Ruby came back to Billings to be

with her sister and other family members. She went to work as a CNA for various nursing homes until her illness prevented it in early 2010.

On Nov. 24, 2007, Ruby married Mike Ferro. He was a very special man in her life and took care of Ruby in the final months of her life. Ruby had many friends and loved to be around people.

She is survived by her sister, Arlene (Richard) Suko; her sister-in-law, Brenda (Mickey) Crews; her husband, Mike Ferro; her nieces, Jamie (James) Suko, Melissa (Stevie) McCoy, Jennifer (Brad) Suko; and her nephews, Jeremy (Shannon) Crews, Chris Suko, Mickey Crews Jr. She is also survived by six great-nieces and nephews.

We would like to send a special thank you to Lees Tavern and all of the friends that Ruby made there, Hospice who helped take care of Ruby and Parkview where Ruby was in her final weeks. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
