Sharon Salz

1945 - 2025

Sharon Salz, 80, of Billings, Montana, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025. Born in Dickinson, North Dakota, to Nick and Edith Gulka, she grew up alongside her sister Jeannie and began school in New Hradec before graduating in Dickinson. She raised her three children - Mark, Wayne, and Nikki - in Laurel. In 1992, Sharon married the love of her life, Larry Salz of Billings. Together, they enjoyed retirement to the fullest - traveling, RVing, and splitting time between MT and Oklahoma, where they made lasting friendships. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Larry; children Nikki (Jake) Kramer of Eufaula, OK; Wayne (Michelle) Massad of Aurora, IL; and Mark (Lisa) Massad of Bothell, WA; her sister Jeannie Horning; niece Cheri Phibbs and nephew Jaime (Theresa) Horning. She was a proud grandmother to Derek and Justin Massad, Mikayla (Colton) Rockwell and Emily (Shea) Bowdish; and great-grandmother to Kendall Rockwell. She is also survived by her Uncles Ed (Evelyn) Kinzel and Steven (Edie) Gulka, along with many cherished relatives in the Gulka, Kinzel, Gorman and Williams families.
