William A. "Bill" Selvidge

William "Bill" A. Selvidge, 82, of Billings passed away peacefully Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Billings Clinic.

Bill was born Jan. 31, 1935, in Billings, to John and Eleanor Selvidge.

Bill was a true Montanan who enjoyed to hunt, fish, carve and paint. He loved his 1957 Buick he showed for almost ten years. Bill proudly served our country for 10 years in the United States Marine Corp and The United States Air Force. Following his discharge from the Air Force, Bill worked for Boeing on the missile system in Central Montana. He later owned two Gas Stations in Billings and then bought a bar in California. Bill returned to his beloved home in Montana and then purchased a bar in Gardiner, which he operated for nine years.

In 1977 he met his future wife Virgie 'Sam' Higday. They made their life together for almost forty years.

Bill is survived by his wife Sam, daughter Candi (Jon) Harris of Grants Pass, Oregon, step-daughters; Rhonda (Andy) Tolleson of Poteau Oklahoma, and Karen (Tom) Sanford of Fort Mohave, Arizona, his loving grandchildren; Billie Nava and Matthew Marler of Poteau Oklahoma, JJ and Ricky Glover of Texas, Trevor Harmon and Ashleigh Burt of Fort Mohave, Arizona and six great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins and nieces. Cremation has taken place and per Bills wishes no services are planned.
