John Huey King

KING, JOHN HUEY, age 54, of Tarrant City, departed this life on Saturday, July 3, 2004. John retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Service Center on Southside in 2001 after 28 years of faithful service. John also served the City of Tarrant as a reserve police officer for 29 years. John graduated from Tarrant High School in 1968 and married Jeanie Bell Holt, also of Tarrant, his faithful wife of 35 years. John is survived by Jeanie; his son, Jonathan (Kim); his grandboys (Papa's boys), Austin and Justin; his parents, Juanita and Joe King; his brother, Ken (Paulette and Stephan); his sister, Anita (Tim and Alyssa); father-in-law, T. M. Holt and friend Mildred of Lakeland, FL; sisters-in-law, Ann Brown (Ron) and Katrina Creel (Wade); nieces, Kym Brown and Hanna Creel; nephew, Phillip Brown; brother-in-law, Tommy Holt. John also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends whom he loved and they loved him. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at 9 a.m., at Ridout's Roebuck Chapel, with burial in Walker's Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Kyle Poole of Gardendale Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation was held Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Many thanks to all John's friends for their prayers during his lengthy illness, and to Dr. Jack Zeramba and his staff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tarrant Police Department. Ridout's Roebuck Chapel is directing.
