Agatha Rose Redshirt, 65, 115 West Bismarck Expressway, Bismarck, died March 19, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at St. George's Episcopal Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Michael Horn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation begins from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, and continues Friday from 9 a.m.-noon at Weigel Funeral Home.
Agatha Rose Redshirt was born May 16, 1934 at Pine Ridge, S.D., the daughter of Wallace and Francis (Martin) Redshirt. Agatha was raised and educated in South Dakota. In 1971, Agatha and her family moved to Bismarck where she attended school at United Tribes Educational Center. Agatha worked hard all her life to support her family. She worked for Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center as a nurses' assistant for three years and at United Tribes for 12 years.
Agatha is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ted (Deb), and Leonard, all of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Margaret Redshirt and Mary Redshirt, both of Bismarck, and Micky Lynn Redshirt, Dallas, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Tedilynn, Cody, Karmen, Jeremy, Erin, Nicole, Jared, Aaron, Stephani, Brock, Crystal Gayle, and one great-grandson, Garydean; three sisters, Margaret Tyon and Bess Matthews, both of Denver, and Grace Redshirt, Hot Springs, S.D.; and a special friend, Albert Dennis Wilkie and many other good friends and family.
She will be greatly missed by all. May her smile and laughter live on in everyone's heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Gary; three brothers and one sister. (Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan)
